Richard Zodda is a native New Yorker. He earned a Bachelor's degree from Hofstra University and a Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School. Retired after 35 years of teaching in a public high school, he continues to practice law and is currently a senior adjunct professor at Dowling College in Oakdale, Long Island.
Mr. Zodda has been an artist most of his life. He has trained with classical artists in Italy and attended the Art Students League in New York City. His work has been sold in galleries around the country and in Europe. Art shows include Gallery Cote, Rockville Centre, NY, Molloy College, and Universitas Calluccio Salutati, Italy, among others.
The artist's current work is inspired by the natural beauty that surrounds his getaway home in the mountains of Pennsylvania. He has captured the peaceful scenes that change with every season, permanently setting the verdant colors of spring, the coolness of winter whites, the russet shades of fall and the beautiful colors of summer in his collections of acrylics under glass.
He currently resides with his family in Sayville, Long Island, New York.
