Georgia Chambers

Georgia Chambers' art is characterized by a versatility of style, media, and subject matter. Her work embraces printmaking techniques of dry point etching and linoleum cut along with watercolour and acrylic painting.

Chambers' art reveals a formality of technique and tradition acquired from her native England. Also apparent are other influences, these more ancient, mythic and sensual, derived from her formative years on the Mediterranean Island of Malta.

Georgia Chambers studied at the Shrewsbury School of Art, located near the Welsh border, and later at London's Chelsea School of Art, She subsequently lived a number of years in New York City and now has a home and studio in New York's Catskill Mountains. Her pictures have been featured at numerous galleries, in books and national magazines and private collections throughout the United States and the world. The Pentagon has seven lithographs featured from her collection.
